Our Relationship to the Hypno-CBT® College

Hypno-CBT® College is the UK’s leading provider of training in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. The College offers the Hypno-CBT® Diploma, awarded as an NCFE Customised Qualification at Level 5. NCFE is recognised as an awarding organisation by national qualification regulators, including: Ofqual (England), Qualifications Wales, CCEA Regulation (Northern Ireland).an NCFE Level 5 qualification. The College has trained practitioners across the UK and internationally.

The directory is maintained by the College to give our graduates a professional platform and to connect members of the public with the trained therapists we have helped to qualify. However, the directory is not a membership body or a professional register. Listed therapists are independent practitioners who are not employed by or clinically supervised by the College after graduation.

You can find out more about Hypno-CBT® College and our training programmes at hypno-cbt.com.

Our Governance Approach

We operate what we describe as a “bounded governance” model. This means we take responsibility for the integrity of the directory itself — for example, ensuring that only qualified graduates are listed and that the Hypno-CBT® name and trademark are used appropriately — but we do not act as a clinical regulator or as a complaints body for therapy disputes.

We will investigate concerns about:

  • Misrepresentation of Hypno-CBT® qualifications or training
  • Misleading use of the Hypno-CBT® name or trademark
  • Serious safeguarding concerns
  • Misleading advertising claims

We do not adjudicate disputes about therapy outcomes, session fees, or individual therapist conduct in the consulting room. For those situations, the appropriate route is through the therapist’s professional body or their insurance provider — both of which should be listed on their profile.

You can read the full detail of our governance and complaints policy on our Directory Terms and Governance page.
