Welcome to the Hypno-CBT® Directory. This directory is a resource designed to help the public identify independent practitioners who have successfully completed our specialist training programs.
To ensure clarity for both clients and practitioners, please review our positioning regarding the use of this directory and our role as a training provider.
Our Role and Position
The Hypno-CBT® Directory is an informational listing, not a professional membership body.
- Training vs. Regulation: We are a training provider. We certify that the practitioners listed have met our educational standards. We do not provide ongoing clinical oversight or professional regulation for these individuals.
- Independent Practice: Every therapist listed in this directory operates as an independent practitioner. They are not employees, agents, or clinical representatives of our organization.
- No Endorsement: While we verify that graduates have completed our training, a listing in this directory does not constitute an endorsement or a guarantee of therapeutic outcomes.
Practitioner-Client Relationship
Any therapeutic agreement, contract, or financial transaction is strictly between the client and the independent practitioner. We are not a party to these agreements and cannot intervene in disputes regarding fees, therapy outcomes, or clinical decisions.
Governance and Complaints Policy
We maintain a “Bounded Governance” model. This means we do not adjudicate clinical disputes, but we do take steps to ensure the integrity of our directory and the authorized use of our trademarks.
What We Address
We will investigate reports and may remove a listing if there is evidence of:
- Misrepresentation: Falsely claiming qualifications or levels of training.
- Trademark Infringement: Unauthorized or misleading use of the Hypno-CBT® logo or brand.
- Safeguarding Concerns: Documented evidence of serious boundary violations or exploitation.
- Truth-in-Advertising: Misleading claims regarding the efficacy of services.
What We Do Not Address
We do not accept complaints regarding:
- Therapeutic outcomes (“The therapy didn’t work”).
- Disputes over session fees or refund policies.
- Individual therapist personalities or clinical styles.
How to Raise a Concern
If you believe a practitioner is misrepresenting their Hypno-CBT® credentials or is in breach of the “What We Address” criteria listed above, please contact us at support@ukhypnosis.com.
For clinical complaints or disputes: Clients are advised to resolve issues directly with the practitioner in the first instance. If a resolution cannot be reached, you should contact:
- The practitioner’s individual professional insurance provider.
- The Professional Body to which the practitioner belongs (e.g., NCH, GHR, etc., as listed on their profile).
Using the Hypno-CBT® Mark
The Hypno-CBT® name and logo are registered trademarks. Their use by practitioners is licensed under a strict agreement focused on brand integrity and
advertising standards. We reserve the right to terminate this license and remove any practitioner from this directory at our sole discretion.
